A mobile spinoff of Ubisoft's popular title, Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, which premiered in 2016 on consoles and PC, was announced back in July 2022. The Montreal-based video game developer is getting closer to releasing the game now that interested players may pre-register on the Google Play Store for a chance to try it out this summer, over a year after the game was first announced.

Open-world, free-to-play third-person shooter The Division Resurgence is set in the same universe as its predecessors, albeit it won't follow their individual stories. You will take on the role of a Strategic Homeland Division agent whose mission is to protect citizens from danger and bring peace to a planet overrun by disease.

Both a PVE campaign and a PVP option will be present in Ubisoft's latest installment of The Division, where players will engage in combat with one another and additional AI foes in a designated area of the map.

On the Google Play Store and the game's official website, interested players can sign up, though doing so doesn't ensure they'll get into the forthcoming testing phase. Only a few nations will be able to access the pre-registration version, according to Ubisoft, though it hasn't specified which ones. The corporation hasn't specified a specific date for the tests, but they will take place this summer.

The business unveiled a three-minute gameplay video just a week after its initial announcement.

Along with the release of its new mobile game, Ubisoft has also confirmed fresh content for The Division 2 and debuted The Division Heartland, its upcoming free-to-play spinoff for consoles.

The Division series' roadmap, which Ubisoft revealed in 2021, indicated that there were more developments in store. A novel and a movie it was making for Netflix were also announced alongside the initial announcement for the spinoffs. The project initially included Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain, but the production company hasn't released any fresh information about it.
